Riverbank Lodge is owned privately by us, and located at Ogwen Bank Caravan & Lodge Park, just outside Bethesda, Gwynedd. The park is named after the River Ogwen that runs alongside it, and which the lodge overlooks, hence the name. 🙂
The park is family owned and run by a really friendly team. The onsite Quarry Bar & Grill serves delicious food and drink sourced from the best welsh producers from all over North Wales, everything from lunch to evening meals, and a Sunday carvery as well. Ogwen Bank is very easy to get to, located off the A5 just south of Bethesda, and just 10 mins from the A55 North Wales Expressway which connects to the M6. If you prefer a journey that is more scenic, the A5 from Llangollen is very picturesque.
The lodge is dog friendly with a fully enclosed and gated decking. Located in a wooded part of the park, the glass decking surround means that you can sit and enjoy an uninterrupted view down to the river. There's plenty of wildlife to spot including amongst other things, the usual garden birds, woodpeckers, squirrels, and herons. During the salmon spawning season, you may even be lucky enough to see salmon leaping on their journey upriver!
